NWS lets severe storm warning expire

National Weather Service in Amarillo has allowed the severe thunderstorm warning for the area to expire. However, a strong thunderstorm is currently west of Guymon and headed this way. While is has weakened, this is the remnants of the storm that spawned tornadoes earlier in Baca County, Colorado, and in Eva. Shelters in Guymon will remain open until this storm passes over,  about 10:30 p.m.
