Low clouds, fog and freezing fog will continue to impact much of the Texas and Oklahoma panhandles this afternoon and this evening, according to the National Weather Service in Amarillo.
Visibilities may briefly fall to one quarter mile, but most locations should experience visibilities of 1 mile or greater. Motorists are urged to use caution. In addition, scattered areas of light snow are moving northeast at 25 mph across the northern Texas Panhandle and Oklahoma Panhandle. Locations that will likely be affected by this activity through 2 PM include Stratford, Texhoma, Guymon, Spearman, Hooker and Beaver.
A larger area of snow is moving northeast out of southeastern New Mexico and into the South Plains. This activity will begin to affect portions of the Texas Panhandle south of Interstate 40 by 2 PM.
