Nowcast weather

As of 9:56 a.m. Wednesday, the National Weather Service in Amarillo was forecasting that low clouds, fog, and freezing fog will continue to impact much of the Texas and Oklahoma panhandles this morning and into this afternoon. Visibilities may briefly fall to one quarter mile, but most locations should experience visibilities of 1 mile or greater. Motorists are urged to use caution. In addition, a band of light snow is moving northeast at 25 mph across the northeastern Texas Panhandle and eastern Oklahoma Panhandle. Locations that will likely be affected by this activity through noon include Perryton, Booker, Darrouzett,  Bryans Corner, Beaver and Slapout. Additional areas of snow are expected to develop across the panhandles throughout the day.
