Goodwell, Okla. — Both the Oklahoma Panhandle State volleyball and football teams will be on the road this week.
The volleyball squad will open their season on Thursday in Shawnee, Oklahoma against St. Gregory’s. From there, they will head to Commerce, Texas to participate in a tournament hosted by Texas A&M-Commerce on Friday and Saturday. They will play their home opener on September 7 against Eastern New Mexico, with the first serve set for 7:00 p.m.
The OPSU football team lost on Saturday night in a hard fought 26-14 game to a highly regarded team representing Colorado State-Pueblo. Next up for the Aggies (now 0-1 on the young season) will be a Saturday night contest against Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas. It will be the initial game of the year for Southwestern and also the very first game in their new stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
