Elkhart-based Point Rock trail riders continue the pioneer tradition of paving the way with horseback riders and an overnight camp, before arriving in Guymon Friday and then riding in the Saturday parade.
Epic Touch, Epic PCS and KGYN partnered to bring Branson entertainer Mike Walker, the world's greatest singing impressionist, to Guymon. The proceeds of the concert benefited the Texas County Free Fair Panhandle Exposition.

The inaugural Classic Events Championship made for "great watchin!" Cowboys had to ride two broncs and rope two head of steer -- just like the early days back on the ranch.
This year's Pan Ag Day featured a forum on the proposed closing Optima Lake. Awarded $750 academic scholarships were Amber Wells of Guymon, Krista Gilbert of Hardesty and Kyle Johnson of Hooker. Crop Production Services of Hooker was named Ag Business of the year and JB Metcalf Farms of Hooker was Ag Family of the year.
The 2010 edition of the Guymon Livestock Show show was held on a chilly Saturday between snowstorms. Plenty of hot food and hot drinks helped to warm the crowd.
Bryan Burson also sent in these photos of the demo derby. He added that the red car was raffled off and said it was a great derby by both size of cars.
