Goodwell, Okla. — Next week, Oklahoma Panhandle State University faculty will offer several cultural presentations leading up to the Centennial birthday bash set for Sunday, November 1. All of the events will be held in the Centennial Theatre inside Hughes-Strong Hall and begin at 7 p.m. There is no admission charge and the public is invited to attend.
On Monday, Oct. 26, Dr. Brad Duren will discuss “Turn-of-the-Century Entertainment and Politics;” Wednesday, Oct. 28, Dr. Patrick Maille will present “The Last 100 Years of Magic;” and on Thursday, Oct. 29, Professor Emeritus Dr. Kenneth Woodward will review “OPSU’s Agricultural Legacy.”
The official birthday party celebration is set for Sunday, Nov. 1 ,beginning at 3 p.m.! BiPolar Echo will rock the stage in the new Centennial Park located just outside Hughes-Strong Hall and everyone is invited to enjoy birthday cake and a short dedication ceremony for the park.
