Sylvia Sue Keenan, 61, of Guymon died Sunday morning, Feb. 28, 2010, at the Memorial Hospital of Texas County in Guymon.
The daughter of William Othell and Esther Irene (Trainer) Simmons, she was born on March 12, 1948, in Dimmitt, Texas.
Sue and Haskell Max Keenan were united in marriage on Nov.16, 1983, in Stratford, Texas. The family moved to Guymon in 1983 from Stratford.
Sue retired from Phillips Petroleum as a field operator. She was a member of the Living Word Fellowship in Guymon and a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, George Bentley Simmons.
Survivors include her husband, Max Keenan of the home; daughters: Christy and husband, Mike Yell of Amarillo, Texas, Tamy and husband, Chuck Bledsoe of Guymon, and Jo Karen Wester of Guymon; sons: Casey Keenan and wife, Tammie of Guymon, Martin Keenan and wife, Amber of Safford, Arizona, and Clayton Keenan and wife, Tandy of Waynoka, Oklahoma. Sue is also survived by 13 grandchildren: ShanTil and Aaron Yell, Megan, MaKayla, Madison and Brice Bledsoe, Jeremy and Jared Wester, Holly, Brooke, Matracia, Kate Keenan and Michael Wallinger; and two great granddaughters, Emily and Emma Wester.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon, March 3, at 2:00 p.m. at the Living Word Fellowship in Guymon with Pastor Dale Stephens officiating. Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
The family suggests that memorials be made to the Living Word Fellowship. Memorials will be accepted at the church office or the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home, PO Box 1112, Guymon, Oklahoma 73942.
