The City of Guymon is working to keep major roadways open by blading the roadways. This will result in snow being in the center of the roads until it can be hauled away, possibly by the weekend.
Motorists are asked to use caution when on the roads but it would be better to not be on the roads at all unless ABSOLUTELY necessary. A problem is occurring when the bladers are having to stop and allow vehicles to pass. In addition, the police department has had to deal with 65+ motorists stuck on streets because of snow.
Secondary roadways will remain hazardous for the near future and covered in snow.
