(Dodge City, Kansas) – Boot Hill Casino & Resort and United Wireless Arena/Magouirk Conference Center have teamed up with Wild West Country to create a delicious, new Dodge City Days event. The Taste of the Wild West will feature great food from many unique Southwest Kansas restaurants, vendors and much more. The event will be held at the United Wireless Arena on Friday, August 3, 2012 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
“Wild West Country represents the 22 counties of Southwest Kansas,” explains Lea Ann E. Seiler, Director of the Hodgeman County Economic Development Inc. and President of Wild West Country. “We’re excited to partner with Boot Hill Casino & Resort, United Wireless Arena/Magouirk Conference Center to feature regional attractions & businesses as part of Dodge City Days.”
“The goal is to grow this into a big event for Dodge City Days featuring all of Southwest Kansas. So many people visit our region during the festival, we want to show them what we offer year-round and hopefully entice them to visit again,” said Sharon Stroburg, General Manager of Boot Hill Casino & Resort.
The Taste of the Wild West will be first Dodge City Days event held at the beautiful United Wireless Arena. “United Wireless Arena and Magouirk Conference Center provide the perfect facility to host an event like this,” said Ralph Nall, Executive Director of United Wireless Arena/Magouirk Conference Center. “We are excited to further partner with the casino to bring unique events to Southwest Kansas.”
