Forum Rules & Policies
Section I. General Forum Rules
1. Please don’t use the public board to argue and challenge board policy or rule enforcement. But we do want to hear from you.
If you disagree, or want clarification as to why a particular topic, post or individual was removed feel free to question us. Please e-mail a moderator. KGYN will attempt to respond to each and every inquiry posed to us in this format. The following rules should also be useful if you have questions.
2. No vulgar language or profanity
This includes inappropriate words, inappropriate sexual references and other vulgar statements. Some words may be replaced with ****
3. No threatening, abusive or harassing comments
You may agree and disagree all you want but this is not a forum for personal attacks or mean spirited comments.
4. No defamation of character allowed
Knowingly making false claims, statements, or accusations and hear-say about a company, organization or individual, whether true or not, is strictly prohibited. This is NOT a place to air the problems you are having with others. Use the court system.
5. No Flaming
Debate is important, but users should not try to pick a fight. Keep the debate about ideas and don’t get personal. If someone ticks you off, don’t lose your sense of humor over it.
6. Linking
Links to products and commercial pages will be tolerated only when it serves to clarify or answer a specific question.
All links embedded in signatures will be interpreted as commercial and will not be allowed.
Again, do not use your signature for promotion of a business, product or website.
7. Do not cut and paste large volumes of information.
8. Do not post in ALL CAPS!
This is more of a request than a rule. All caps typically mean shouting, which is an annoying way to communicate, at best.
Section II: Commercial posts
No advertising, selling or wanted requests are allowed on the public forum unless you’re promoting a charitable cause.
Section III: Legalities
1. Any personal message you send to another, may be copied and distributed by the person you send it to. A good rule of thumb on the Internet, if you post it, it is public.
2. We reserve the right to delete any message or poster for any reason.
3. If anything in this board policy bothers you or causes you undue frustration, please feel free to email us, or simply do not post on this board.
Your posting on this board is your agreement to abide by the rules.
We are not staffed to screen every thread and every post 24/7. If it appears an infraction to the rules has been missed, or not applied equally to all members or situations it is unintentional. Most irregularities are brought to our attention by the "Private Message" button and you are encouraged to use this.
These guidelines are meant for the well-being and enjoyment of the majority. If you feel you must serve out a heavy dose of reality to an unsuspecting idiot – drag them behind YOUR barn – not around our campfire.
Anyone (brought to our attention), and determined to be in violation of the preceding rules will receive a warning and have their message edited or removed. Further violations may result in immediate removal from the board.
