The radar looks pretty clear so I’ll update the rainfall totals. Guymon Municipal Airport has received an even 1.0 inch of rain. Here at KGYN we’ve measured a tad more than that — 1.15 inches. Finney and Ellis counties in SW Kansas had some pretty nasty weather yesterday afternoon and evening, according to the National Weather Service in Dodge City. A very welcome cold front has brought some much-needed rain to the panhandles. As of 5 a.m. the Guymon Municipal Airport had recorded .81 of an inch of precipitation — with more in the forecast. The National Weather Service in Amarillo has issued a dense fog advisory… which is in effect until 10 am CDT this morning for the northeast Texas Panhandle and the eastern two thirds of the The Oklahoma Panhandle has received some very welcome rainfall over the last 24 to 36 hours. The National Weather Service in Amarillo has issued an * Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for minor flooding of poor drainage areas in… southern Texas County in the Panhandle of Oklahoma… this includes the city of Guymon… * until 300 PM CDT. |
