CATTLE

Direct Trade: In the direct slaughter cattle trade in the Five Major Marketing Areas, Texas/Oklahoma; Kansas; Nebraska; Colorado; Iowa/Minnesota; trading in the Southern Plains and Colorado has been inactive. In Nebraska and the Western Cornbelt trading has been limited to slow on light demand. Not enough sales in any major feeding region for a market comparison. Steers: live basis; (all Grades: 1,602 head) 95.00-97.00, weighted average price 95.38. Dressed basis; (all Grades: 1,075 head) 150.00-153.00, weighted average price 152.35. Heifers:live basis; (all Grades: 2,185 head) 95.00-96.50, weighted average price 95.89.Dressed Basis; (all Grades: 546 head) 153.00.
