   Carcass Basis: based on 185 lbs hog carcass with 0.9-1.1 inch back fat and 6
inch square loin/2.0 inch depth plant delivered.  National direct trade barrows
and gilts were .73 higher with prices ranging from 59.25-72.00, weighted average
price 67.59.  Iowa-Minnesota was .94 higher at 59.25-72.00, weighted average
price 68.72.  Western Cornbelt was 1.13 higher at 59.25-72.00, weighted average
price 68.87 and Eastern Cornbelt was .25 higher at 60.00-67.00, weighted average
price 64.86.

   Live Basis (240-280 lbs): National direct barrows and gilts were .45 higher
at 45.89-57.00, weighted average price 53.76.  Iowa-Minnesota was .32 higher at
47.00-57.00, weighted average 53.73.  Western Cornbelt was .50 higher at 47.00-
57.00, weighted average price 53.65.  Eastern Cornbelt was .29 higher at 45.89-
