By Laura Hays Goodwell, Okla. — The Oklahoma Panhandle State University Centennial Committee is planning three events during the 2009 fall semester. The celebrations begin Thursday, October 8, at 7:00 p.m. in the Centennial Theatre located in Hughes-Strong Hall with the “Centennial Celebration Concert” featuring Concert Band, Concert Choir and guests. The whole group performed this dance with quirts, or short whips used when riding. The geometric designs on these costumes are typical of those from the State of Tamaulipas.
